During a 2-part Design & Prototype Workshop on February 4th & 9th, MOUSE Corps students took a huge leap forward in preparing to participate in Legacy Design Projects with global design firm IDEO.

Using IDEO's innovative approach toward "human-centered" design, students interviewed teachers at host school, Urban Assembly Institute of Math & Science for Young Women to better understand challenges educators face in schools. By the end of the second workshop students worked in teams to design prototypes aimed at solving the challenges surfaced during educator interviews.

Participating schools included:

  • Queens School for Career Development
  • Access High School
  • International High School
  • Urban Assembly Institute of Math & Science for Young Women
  • Bard High School Early College
