The Wire

On Saturday, July 24th, the Mouse Summer Interns (along with Camp Interactive) set sail on the schooner, Pioneer, a classic cargo ship re-purposed as a classroom with sails. 16 students and staff from Mouse, Camp Interactive and New York Tech Meetup, joined the crew of the Pioneer, pulling sails and navigating the waters of the East River for a 2010 Summer Interns Retreat.

The boat then docked at Governor's Island, where the Mouse crew embarked on a full day of hiking and biking fun. The City of Water Festival made the visit to the Island even more exciting with loads of musical entertainment, education and giveaways.

Students beat the heat with delightfully explosive water-balloon fights - an exciting way to stay hydrated! Amidst all the fun, the students found time to give back to the City of Water Festival and Govenor's Island community by helping event staff.

All in all, it was a grand day for Mouse Interns and a exciting step forward with partners at Camp Interactive.
