March MicroProject: Remix the Web!
We’ve all heard about remixing songs and videos but this month in the March Microproject you’ll get your first chance to remix a website! In other words, you'll learn how to hack a website to transform it into something new! How? Just head on over to hackasaurus.org to check out the newest fun web tool from Mozilla: Hackasaurus!
Follow the instructions on Hackasaurus and start off with a remix of the hackasaurus.org page! Then install the Hackasaurus X-Ray Goggles in your browser’s bookmarks toolbar and set off on your web hacking adventure. You can now hack any page and publish your version to share with your friends.
This month’s MicroProject is to hack any website and write a post in MOUSE Squad Blogs showing off your hacked page!!
Check out some of the website hacks we came up with here at MOUSE. If you’re already a MOUSE Squad pro why not take it to the next level with DOG Squad?

Here's another MOUSE hack. We took Facebook and turned it into make "Zombook" (a Facebook for the post-zombie world):
Zombook helps you connect with fresh brains to eat and find other Zombies in your area.
To Submit: make a blog post with a link to your best website hack and tag it "March Microproject". Please remember to keep all your hacks school appropriate, and happy webpage-hacking!
Tips and Tricks:
- Some websites are better for hacking than others. We’ve found that YouTube or Facebook pages don’t work very well. However, pages with less interactive features, like news sites and search engines, are great candidates for hacking.
- You can publish your pages by hitting P while your X-Ray Goggles are enabled. If you want to remix that page some more, just start with the page you published and remix that!
- Become a Hackasaurus ninja! When in X-Ray Goggles-mode, press ‘H’ for a cheat-sheet of Hackasaurus commands
