Announcing the February MicroProject Winners: Is there an App for that?

There is an App for that! We are hAPPy to announce who has earned this month's MicroProject badge!

Last month we asked you to create the smartphone app of your dreams. No programming required, just imagination! We wanted to see at least three screenshots of what your app would look like in use and wow did we get some incredible submissions! We are so happy that so many of you contributed such awesome designs. Thank you for making this such a great MicroProject Competition!

Our Grand Prize

We want to give a huge round of MOUSE Squad applause to the amazing App designers from Bayside S.T.E.M in San Mateo, CA who all earned the MicroProject Badge this month. Besides earning the badge for their entire squad they also will be receiving a $60 gift card to Best Buy! There are so many incredible apps here its hard to keep track of them all. One of our favorite is the iTaco app which tells you where you can find the closest taco truck when you are feeling hungry. iTaco even gives reviews and let's you place an order through the app!

There are so many other great app ideas from Bayside S.T.E.M. They made apps to help keep us productive, apps to help with school, goofy apps for fun, games, and apps to help us design more apps. Be sure to check out the App Store for Beginning Designers, Mini-MOUSE Squad App, the Do Not Panic Homework App, The Killen’ Veggies, and Lightning Escape, TNT Blast, CopuRef, Personal Calendar with Sari, The Frizzy Hair App and many more

Our First Runner Up

Winning a Papertronics Lunar Module, our first runner up goes to OIS Bulldogs from Orinda, CA. They also created a ton of great apps including Appception, iCure, Trapper Grabber 2000 and Virtual Goldfish. Virtual Goldfish is like a virtual pet app that you can take care of, and Trapper Grabber shows you how to set traps like the movie Home Alone. These ideas are so creative we couldn't ignore them! Don't you want a virtual goldfish to take play with? Especially when you can get a cool fish like the rainbow fish. Develop apps for the Appception store. Oh, and cure most diseases with the press of a button. That's pretty awesome. One app even had an animated GIF! Way to go!

Second Runner Up

Our secondrunner up also receives a Papertronics Lunar Module, and the prize goes to the Score Tally app from the Nerdy Bulldogs from Queens, NY. This app helps you keep score when playing a game and also functions as a timer. We love that they created a video demonstrating how their app works! It's awesome!
