If you're a member of a MOUSE Squad, a MOUSE Squad faculty advisor, MOUSE staff, or a guest who's interested in youth technical support programs, please create an account.
Why should I create an account?
Creating an account gives you access to protected areas of the site. Once you create an account you'll be able to track your progress toward becoming a MOUSE Squad Certified Technician, participate in online discussions and more.
Select the create new account link. If you're a student, create a student account . If you're not a student, then create a Faculty Advisor Account.
What's the MOUSE Squad Directory?
The MOUSE Squad Directory is a list of groups that run student technical help desks at schools or community based organizations.
How do I create a MOUSE Squad?
First, you create a faculty advisor account, then you select "create/setup" and complete the form.
How do I join a MOUSE Squad--and why would I want to do this anyway?

You won't be a member until your faculty advisor approves your subscription. Why join a MOUSE Squad you ask? Once you join your MOUSE Squad's group online, you'll be able to connect with other group members, be in the loop on things related to your Squad and be part of a community that's committed to providing great technical support.
How can I turn off those email notices?
MOUSESquad.org is good at letting you know when there's something going on in your Squad. To turn off these notices, go to your Squad's homepage and edit your notification settings.
Ahh--you are looking to unclutter you inbox. Smart. You'll need to use an RSS client, like Firefox's Sage or Apple's Safari, because you have to be signed into get the feeds. Web based readers like Bloglines and Google Reader don't work. Sorry.

How can I suggest something for the site?
You can sound off in the forums, or you can send an email to the same. We'd prefer that you start with the forums to see if anyone else had the same idea. It's also a good idea to get feedback on your idea. You're also welcome to send us an email at
What are those photos I see on the home page after I login?
Those are photos from the MOUSESquad Community--from our training sessions, events and other fun stuff.
It's a social bookmarking site. You should create an account and start tagging things that are interesting for:mousenyc. Then they'll show up here on the site.
How do I get you to link to me?
What, you want some publicity? Send us an email to, yes, you guessed it,
and we'll see if it makes sense. We'd like to link to MOUSE Squad blogs and such. All other content is probably a better fit for our del.icio.us feed.
I can not find my school or organization in the MOUSE Squad Directory.
Try searching, and try browsing. If you still don't see your organization, drop us a line at
and we'll set you up. If you're in California or Chicago, you should drop your respective program coordinator a note first to make sure you're enrolled.
If you're a student, you can see them by selecting the quiz and then "results." Faculty advisors, should select "Certification Results" from the right hand navigation within their Squad pages.
I am a Faculty Advisor, how do I view my students' certification status?
Faculty advisors, select your Squad, then "Certification Results" from the right hand navigation. You can see all of your students quiz results and skills tracker assessments at a glance.
How do I add or remove students from my squad?
In the right hand vertical navigation, choose the "subscribers" link. From there you can remove students. Students need to "Subscribe to a MOUSE Squad to join.
How do I edit my MOUSE Squad's home page?
Just select "Edit" from your Squad's home page.
