Whoooooah Avalanche!!!!! We were completely buried under the amazing avatars that you all created this month. It’s been very difficult to choose the winners. Last month's challenge was to create an original digital version of you.

Our Grand Prize

Receiving a $60 gift card to Best Buy for her squad, our grand prize goes to Andrea Aquino from American Canyon Middle School in American Canyon, California. Andrea's Avatar won the Grand Prize because she skillfully drew many symbols that represent her interests, skills and personality traits and combined them into one avatar. She also detailed the reasons behind each symbol in her post. Her project was extremely well thought out and incredibly original.

Our First Runner Up

Receiving a RadioShack Build-It-Yourself Project kit, our first runner up is tcecorral from Eli Whitney Techcrew Mouse Squad in Chicago, Illinois. We really liked this avatar because tcecorral edited a photo of herself magically displaying things that she enjoys in a beam of colors between her hands. She says she "used many apps on my iPod to get the result I wanted then later used PicMonkey to add the simple text." Way to be resourceful!

Our Second Runner Up

Also receiving a RadioShack Build-It-Yourself Project kit, our second runner up is ClaireFuenzalida from Bayside STEM Mouse Squad in San Mateo, California. ClaireFuenzalida received the second runner up prize because we thought her computer drawn avatar was very artfully done, and because she chose a character known for her strength and bravery.

Awesome Motivators!

We also want to give a huge shout out to our biggest motivators for the month Joshuaprado and zhiheng_yu for giving the most Peer-2-Peer Wins! to other Mouse Squad users. Thanks for giving recognition to your fellow Mouse Squad members!!

If you've never awarded a Win!, try it out next month! You can give Wins! for Creativity, Inspiration or Technical Know-How. Maybe next month we'll be giving YOU a shout out.

Thank you to Coordinators and students who participated and submitted such awesome projects! We are looking forward to seeing many more of them in the future. Be sure to check out our next competition: I Believe I Can Flyer.
