Holiday MicroProject Winner!

The Holiday MicroProject was a complicated one, asking you all to dig deep and not only come up with an idea for a brand-new, never-before-seen smartphone app, but also to explain it and create images to go with it. We're excited to report that MOUSE Squads from across the country rose to the challenge, with an incredible array of submissions...including this month's winner!!

A huge round of applause for the Eli Whitney TechCrew/MOUSE Squad in Chicago!

HolidayMPwinner-newticket.jpg This intrepid Squad created the Find My TechCrew app, which enables the user to submit tickets to CaseTracker on the go, and lets MOUSE Squad members receive tickets on their phone so that they can go straight to the problem as soon as it comes up.

This TechCrew/MOUSE Squad truly went above and beyond and created a fantastic video showing their app in action--check it out at the end of their post!

Your fabulous prize... The Holiday MicroProject winner gets a set of Papertronics Lunar Landers from Sparkle Labs, which they can use to create LED-lit paper moon people! Congratulations, Eli Whitney TechCrew/MOUSE Squad!

And now for this month's stellar runner-ups...

  • AShleyS from Panther Tech in New York City invented an app that would help people find a job that fits their skills and interests. Check it out here!
  • JackLiang from ACCESS Spartans in New York City invented the Extreme Exercise Planner App, which helps users come up with a plan for healthy exercise and eating habits, and can even help them find health food nearby.
  • Congratulations, AShleyS and JackLiang! You'll both be receiving your own MOUSE Squad iron-on patches as a prize.

Thank you so much to everyone who participated--you came up with some incredible ideas, and reminded everyone exactly why MOUSE Squad Members are going to be the people shaping tomorrow's technology!
